Our place is on Bhadur Ke Road. It is near the Dana Mandi in Jalandhar, but the address also mentions Guruvayur which is a bit of a mix-up for some people who visit. We have been at this location for quite some time now. The road gets very crowded with tractors and big lorries because of the grain market being so close. It is a noisy area but that is where the business happens. We keep the doors open mostly to let some air in because it gets stuffy with all the stock piled up. I usually sit at the wooden desk near the front. My son is around most days helping to load things up or talking to the drivers. We have a lot of regular people who come through here. The building isn't new and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but we are too busy to worry about that right now. We handle a lot of different supplies and items that people need for their daily work. It’s not always organized perfectly but we know where everything is. You have to be careful walking around the piles of crates. On rainy days the road gets muddy and we have to put down some old boards so people don't slip. It’s a practical kind of life here. We just show up every morning and get things done. Sometimes we have to shout to be heard over the noise of the grain trucks.
