Satkirat Handicrafts

Satkirat Handicrafts is based right here in Rama Mandi. It’s a lively place to be, especially on market days. We focus on making things by hand, which takes a lot of time and patience. Our workshop is tucked away, filled with tools and materials. Often, the place is quite messy with scraps of wood or fabric, but we know where everything is. We didn't start this to get rich; we just liked making things and wanted to see if people would buy them. Turns out, they do. Most of our work is done by a small group of us who have been doing this for years. We don't have a big fancy sign or a polished storefront. Instead, people usually find us because they heard about our work from someone else in the Mandi. Hours are spent on the small details that most people might not even notice. It’s hard on the hands sometimes, but it feels good to see a finished piece. We don't use big machines or mass production. Everything is done slowly. Some days are better than others, especially when the weather is nice and people are out walking around. We just keep doing what we know how to do. Rama Mandi is our home, and we are happy to be part of the community here. It’s a simple, honest way to spend our days. We enjoy the process of creating something from nothing and sharing it.
