Om Sons International

If you head down Model House Road in Basti Sheikh, you’ll find us. Om Sons International has been operating from here for a good while. It’s a local neighborhood, and everyone kind of knows everyone else. We handle international trade, which sounds a lot fancier than it actually feels when you are sitting in the office. Mostly, it is just a lot of emails and tracking shipments that are halfway across the world. Our building is pretty standard for this part of town. We have a lot of samples lying around the office, so it can get a bit cluttered. We don't really mind the mess, though. It shows we are actually doing something. The traffic on Model House Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we usually try to wrap things up before the rush. We are just regular people working a job. There isn't any big philosophy behind what we do. We just buy and sell things and try to make sure the containers show up when they are supposed to. Sometimes they don't, and then we have to spend the whole day on the phone. It’s just the way it goes. We’ve got a small team, and we all help out with whatever needs doing, whether it's filing or moving some boxes. It’s a practical way to run things, and it works for us. We don't need a lot of bells and whistles to get the job done.
