Prince Kumar

My place is tucked away in Mahasha Colony, on Zinda Road in Jalandhar City. If you find the City Public School in Maqsudan, you’re basically there. I’ve been working out of this spot for a good bit of time now. It’s not a large operation, just me and a couple of others helping out when things get backed up. We handle various tasks that people in the neighborhood need help with. Sometimes it’s fixing things that broke, or just general labor that needs a steady hand. The shop stays a bit cluttered because there’s always something halfway finished on the workbench. It gets a little loud with the traffic from Zinda Road passing by, but you get used to it after a week. I don’t spend much time on the computer or making things look pretty for a website. I’d rather be working with my hands. People around here know where to find me if they have a problem. We don’t have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. Usually, customers just stand around and chat while we look at what they brought in. It’s a local way of doing things. I like being in Jalandhar; it’s where I grew up and where I know how people like things done. Every day is a bit different, depending on what walks through the door. We just try to keep things moving and stay busy until the lights go off and we head home for the night.
