Niranjan Rubber Industries

Niranjan Rubber Industries is tucked away at No. 18 in the Guru Nanak Complex in Basti Bawa Khel. If you come by, you’ll likely hear the machines humming before you even see the door. The air usually smells like raw rubber and heat because we are always running the presses. It’s a bit of a messy place with scraps on the floor and stacks of finished parts waiting to go out. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and the neighbors know us well. Some days are just about cutting material and others are spent fixing the old machines that decide to stop working at the worst time. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet people. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us covered in black dust from the molds. We use local guys from around the area to help with the heavy lifting and the sorting. The lighting inside isn't the best but we know where every tool is kept. Most of our time is spent just getting the orders ready for the trucks that come through the narrow lanes of the complex. It gets really hot in the summer months but we just keep the fans going and carry on with the work. We mostly handle small industrial parts that people need for their own shops or factories. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down.
