M/S Electra Engineers

If you head out towards Adampur Doaba in the Jalandhar district, you’ll find us in Ward 5. Our place is House 1167. It is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the main city, but this is where we have always been. Electra Engineers is a small operation. We mostly handle electrical repairs and small engineering jobs for the local people and some businesses around Punjab. The workshop is attached to the house, so there is no real separation between work and life. You might hear the dog barking while we are trying to fix a motor. It is dusty work, and our hands are usually covered in grease or oil. We have tools scattered across the benches. Some of them are old, but they still work better than the new stuff. People in the village know us by name. They drop off their broken equipment and we tell them to come back in a few days. We don't have a website or anything fancy. News travels fast enough around here just by talking. Jalandhar is known for sports and tools, and we are just one small part of that tradition. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit outside and wait for it to come back. We talk about the weather or the crops while we wait. It is a slow pace, but the work gets done eventually. We aren't looking to expand into some big corporation. We are fine right here in Adampur.
