Our office is up on the first floor, room 219, over on Garha Road. We are right by Gate No-6, which is pretty much opposite the bus stand in the Green Park area. It’s a handy location since the buses are right there, so people coming from outside Jalandhar don’t have to walk too far to find us. We mostly deal with immigration papers and student stuff for those looking to study somewhere else. It is a lot of forms and checking documents every day. Sometimes the office gets a bit cluttered with folders, but we know where everything is. We have been here in Jalandhar City for a good bit now. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for a couple of desks and some chairs for people to wait. The traffic near the bus stand can be a nightmare sometimes, but it keeps the area lively. We spend most of our time explaining how the different visa processes work or checking if someone has the right paperwork for their school applications. It’s a lot of waiting on emails and phone calls from different departments. We just try to get through the pile of work one person at a time. Nothing too complicated about how we run things, we just show up and do the work that needs doing for whoever walks in. It’s a steady pace, usually, and we try to stay on top of the changing rules as they come down from the government.
