Kala Ap Prakashan

Our office is tucked away in Street No 8, Jalandhar City. We are just off SCO-16-17 in the Central Town area. The Gurudwara Market is very close by, which makes it a busy little corner of the world. We work in publishing, so there is always a lot of paper and ink around the place. It is a bit of a dusty job sometimes, but we don't mind. The street outside isn't too wide, so it can be a bit tricky when we have deliveries coming in or going out with the finished books. We have been in this spot for a good while now. The building is old but it has a lot of character and keeps us cool in the summer. We don't have any fancy furniture or high-tech gadgets other than what we need for the printing process. It is a very hands-on kind of business. We spend our days checking proofs and talking to people about their books or school papers. Jalandhar has a long history with publishing, and we are just one small part of that tradition in this city. It is not always easy, especially when the machines act up or the deadline is tight, but we make it work. We like the rhythm of the work here. It is a quiet kind of busy that suits us well. Most of the people who come to see us are locals from around the market.
