Jayapal Agro Farm

So, we are actually operating from the Shiv Memorial Perhar Clinic building in Jalandhar City. It’s a bit of a strange setup because we are Jayapal Agro Farm, but that’s where our office is based. Jalandhar is a good place for this kind of business because you’re close to everything. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or checking on how things are growing. It’s not a fancy office at all. There’s usually a bit of mud on the floor from someone coming in from the fields. I don’t mind it much, it’s part of the trade. Dealing with agro products means you’re always at the mercy of the weather. If it rains too much, the phone doesn’t stop ringing. I try to keep things organized, but my desk is usually covered in papers and soil samples. It’s a practical business for practical people. I don’t use any big words to describe what we do. We just help move products and manage the farm side of things. Some days I’m out on the road and some days I’m stuck in Jalandhar City at the clinic office. It’s a mix. I’ve known most of the farmers around here for years, so it’s more like talking to friends than just business. It’s just how we operate, nothing more to it than that. It’s just how it’s been for years now for those of us working the land.
