Jain Confectioners Private Limited is right at 56/1 Friends Colony. We are very close to Wadala Chowk in Jalandhar. The pin code is 144003. Being near the chowk means it is always noisy outside. There are rickshaws and cars honking all the time. Our shop is a bit of a landmark for people in Friends Colony. We have been here for a long time. The building is old but it works for us. We make all kinds of sweets and snacks. The kitchen is in the back and it’s always busy. We use big brass pots for a lot of our cooking. Jalandhar can get very cold in the winter, so the heat from the kitchen is actually nice then. In the summer, it’s the opposite. We don't have any corporate branding or mission statements on the walls. We just have shelves full of jars. People from the neighborhood stop in to chat while they buy their snacks. We know most of the families around here. It’s a very local feel. My father and I handle most of the business stuff. We don't use fancy software, just an old notebook to keep track of things. Friends Colony is a good place to be. We just keep our heads down and focus on the cooking. Every day is pretty much the same, and we like it that way. Just a regular Jalandhar business.
