Our spot is at Ho No 675R in Model Town, which is a bit different from being in a big industrial park. Being based in a residential area means things are a bit tighter for space, but we make it work for the rugs. We have stacks of them everywhere. It’s a small operation, really. Most mornings start with checking what needs to go out and making sure the storage isn't getting too cramped. The neighborhood is usually okay, though parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes when deliveries arrive. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or a front desk person. It’s just us doing the daily tasks. We handle a lot of different patterns and sizes, and you can usually find us surrounded by wool and threads. It’s a dusty business, to be honest. We’ve had to reorganize the rooms a few times to fit everything in. People in the area know us as the rug folks. We don’t do a lot of fancy advertising; word of mouth usually does the trick. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s when we actually take a break. It's not a glamorous setup, but it’s our space and we’ve been here long enough that the walls feel familiar. We just focus on getting the rugs ready and out the door. Sometimes we stay late when a big order comes in, but that's just part of it.
