Him Leather Pvt. Ltd. is located right at 1-A in the Leather Complex. We have been working out of this spot for a long time now. The smell of the raw hides is the first thing you notice when you walk in every morning. It is a bit overwhelming at first but you get used to it after a while. The complex is always busy with trucks coming and going at all hours. We spend most of our day just moving things around and making sure the leather is handled right. The workbenches are old and scarred from years of constant use. There is a small corner where we keep the kettle for tea. Sometimes the noise from the other units in the complex is pretty loud, but we just keep our heads down and work. We don’t have fancy carpets or a nice lobby here. It is just a workspace with concrete floors and high ceilings. We focus on the daily tasks and try to keep the piles from getting too high. The windows are usually dusty from the industrial air outside. People in the area know us as the folks at 1-A. We are not big on talking about ourselves. We just show up and do what needs to be done with the leather hides. By the time we lock up in the evening, everyone is tired and ready to head home. It is a simple, honest way to make a living.
