Durga Sposts

Durga Sposts is located in Basti Peer Das in Jalandhar. If you know Jalandhar at all, you know it’s a huge place for making sports goods for the whole country. We are just one of the many small units tucked away in this busy area. We focus on making and selling sports equipment to whoever needs it. Our workshop is usually full of the strong smell of leather and cut wood. It’s a noisy place with the constant sound of stitching machines and cutting going on in the back. We don't have a fancy storefront with glass windows. Most of our space is used for production and storage. We’ve got a few workers who have been with us since they were very young. They are really good with their hands and take pride in the work. We don't use a lot of big fancy machines; a lot of the work is still done the old way by hand. Jalandhar is famous for this, and we’re just happy to be a small part of that history. Sometimes the orders are heavy and we have to work through the night to get them ready. Other times it’s a bit slow and we just sit around the entrance and talk about the latest cricket match. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just make the stuff and people eventually come to buy it from us. It’s a very basic setup. There are cardboard boxes everywhere and the floor is never really clean.
