Sakay Exports

Sakay Exports is located out on Dhogri Road, right near the Pathankot Road intersection. We are pretty close to Capitol Hospital, so there’s always an ambulance or some traffic moving past our gates. Our place is basically a big warehouse and loading area. It’s a bit noisy because of the trucks coming in to pick up goods. We deal with a lot of paperwork and customs forms since we are an export business. It’s a lot of back and forth with drivers and making sure the counts are right before the shutters go down on the containers. The dust from the road gets in sometimes, so we’re always wiping down the desks. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just some plastic chairs and a water cooler for when people stop by to discuss shipments. Most of the day is spent on the phone or checking the stacks of crates in the back. The weather gets really hot here, and the tin roof doesn’t help much, but we have a couple of big fans going. We’ve been at this location for a while now and the locals know us as the guys who are always moving boxes. It’s hard work, especially when a shipment is late or there's a problem with the transport, but we just deal with it one day at a time. We focus on the cargo and getting it where it needs to go.
