Bombay Foamplasts

We are over in the Focal Point Extension at D-92. This is an industrial area, so there is always noise from machines and trucks moving around. We have been operating from this unit for quite a few years now. The floor is mostly taken up by big blocks of foam and plastic sheets. It is not the cleanest place in the world, but it is a factory, so that is expected. We make all sorts of foam products. Some go for packaging, others go for furniture. It is a lot of cutting and shaping to get the sizes right. We have a small crew that knows the machines well. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we do not need to say much to get things done. We do not have a fancy office or a lobby. If you come by to visit, you will probably find us on the shop floor with earplugs in. We deal mostly with other businesses who need our materials for their own products. We do not do much in the way of sales pitches. We just send out samples and let the quality of the foam speak for itself. It is a lot of hard work and the days can be long, especially when we have a big order to finish. We just focus on keeping the machines running and making sure the dimensions are right. (249 words)
