Apna Store

Apna Store is a small place located in Sahid Bhagat Singh Nagar in Balachaur. We are situated right near the Gurudwara, so it’s easy to find us if you’re heading that way. Most days it’s quite peaceful here, except during the morning prayers when there are more people around. We started this store because the neighborhood needed a spot to pick up daily essentials without having to travel too far. It’s a basic shop, really. We have shelves lined with whatever we can get our hands on that people might need. Sometimes the milk delivery is late or we can’t find a specific brand someone asked for, but we try to help out as much as we can. It’s mostly just us running things, so if we’re busy with one customer, the next one might have to wait a minute. We don't have a fancy uniform or a big sign. We just know the people in Sahid Bhagat Singh Nagar and they know us. It feels more like a community spot than a business sometimes. We listen to the local news from the customers who stop by for a chat. It’s not about making a huge profit for us, just about keeping the store going and staying part of the local life in Balachaur. If you’re passing by the Gurudwara, you’ll likely see us sitting near the entrance waiting for the next person to come in. It’s a good way to spend the day.
