Man Pasand Variety Store

Our store, Man Pasand Variety Store, is right in Panikoili Village. We are located in the Korei Tehsil, right along National Highway No. 16. Being on the highway means we see a lot of travelers passing through, along with all the locals from the village. The shop is full of all sorts of things, hence the variety in the name. We don't have a very organized system; things are just where they fit on the shelves. It’s a bit of a squeeze when there are more than four or five customers inside at once. I spend most of my day behind the counter near the front door. The post office is close by, so people often stop in here after they finish their business there. Since we’re on the NH 16, the sound of trucks is something we hear all day and night. It never really stops. We don’t have any fancy displays or lights. Just a couple of tube lights and the sun coming through the door. My wife helps out in the evenings when I need a break. We try to keep a little bit of everything so people don't have to go all the way into the bigger towns. It’s just a small village store, nothing more and nothing less. We aren't looking to expand or anything, just happy to be here in Panikoili serving the folks who live and travel through here.
