Maa Kali Bhandar. You can find us at the New Market Complex in Dhamra. The shop is right there at the post. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is out getting their things for the day. We have been here for a good bit of time. The shelves are packed with all sorts of items that people need for their homes. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent chatting with people from the village and moving boxes around. It’s a local place, so we know most of our regulars by name. The floor is concrete and we have a simple counter where we handle everything. It isn't a supermarket with bright lights or music playing. It’s just a regular bhandar. We open up early and usually stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes the rain makes it a bit messy around the complex, but that’s just life in Dhamra. We have to keep an eye on the inventory so we don't run out of the basics like rice or oil. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but we are used to it by now. The atmosphere is loud and active, which keeps us busy. We just focus on keeping the shop running and making sure the shelves stay full for whoever walks in next.
