Reliance Mart

Our shop is located at F - 185, which is right near the Anurag Center in New Delhi. It is a pretty busy area and we have been here for a good while now. Most of our days are spent doing the usual things like unpacking boxes and putting items on the shelves. It isn't always neat and tidy, especially when we get a big shipment in on Tuesday mornings. We try our best to keep everything in stock, but sometimes things sell out faster than we expect. The New Delhi weather can be a real challenge, so we spend a lot of time making sure the place stays comfortable for the people who walk in. We see a lot of the same people every week since they live nearby. We aren't trying to be the biggest or most modern place around. We just want to make sure the locals have a place to get what they need for their houses. The back room is usually a bit of a mess with all the extra inventory, but we manage to find what we need. It’s just a few of us working here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from sweeping the floor to helping people carry things to their cars. It’s a lot of work and it can be tiring, but we like the routine and the people we meet every day.
