Safety gear is what we do here in our shop in the Industrial Complex. Being near Jajpur Road means there is always a lot of traffic around, but it makes it easier for the trucks to come and go. We have been working out of Kalinga Nagar for quite some time now. Most of our days are spent checking on the sewing machines or making sure the helmets are stored properly. It gets incredibly hot in the summer here, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. It isn't a fancy setup. We have some desks for the bills and a large space for the stock. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. It’s just about making things that people wear to stay safe at work. Sometimes the supply of raw materials gets delayed, and we have to scramble to keep things on schedule. That is just part of the business. The people working here are locals from the nearby villages. We have grown to know each other pretty well over the years. We don't have a big corporate board or anything like that. It is just a group of us trying to make a living and getting the orders out on time. If you walk into the complex, you will find us by the sound of the machines. It's a long day, but we are used to it. We focus on the practical side of things every single day.
