We are located out in Jajpur at Plot No-1237/1447. Aruni Fly Ash Bricks Private Limited is the name on the papers, but most people just know us as the brick yard in Baramanpuruna Baulamala. We spend our days dealing with fly ash and water and the press. It’s a simple process but you have to get the timing right so the bricks don’t crumble. The yard is usually full of stacks waiting to be picked up. We have a few guys here who have been doing this for years. Jajpur is a good place for this kind of work because there's always someone building a wall or a small house nearby. We don't spend much time in an office; most of the day is spent outside near the machines. You can hear the thumping of the press from a distance. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere when the wind picks up, but that’s part of the job. We try to keep things organized so when a truck shows up, we can get it loaded and out the gate without too much fuss. It's not glamorous work, but it's steady. We've been at this location for a while now and the locals know where to find us if they need a load of bricks. It stays pretty busy from morning until sunset. We just focus on getting the mix right and making sure the bricks are dry before they go out for delivery.
