Rachana Stones

Rachana Stones is over at G-130. It is a practical space where we keep our inventory. There is not much to say about the building itself, it is just a standard industrial spot. We spend most of our time organizing the different batches of stone that come in. It is a lot of manual work. You have to be careful where you step because there are pieces of stone everywhere. We have a small crew and we all know what needs to be done. Some days are slow and we just tidy up the yard. Other days, it is a mess of activity with people coming in and out. We do not do much in the way of advertising. Usually, people just know we are at G-130 and they show up. The stone comes from various places and we just sort it by size and type. It is a simple business. We have some basic tools for moving the slabs around so they do not break. Marble and granite can be quite heavy, as anyone who works with it knows. We have some old desks in the corner where we keep the ledgers. Everything is done by hand mostly. The lighting inside isn't the best, so we often take pieces outside to show the natural color in the sunlight. That is basically our whole operation here. It is not much but it is what we do for a living day in and day out. We just keep the gate open and see who comes by. There is no stress.
