Vijay Trading Co

Vijay Trading Co sits right at Shop Number 7 on Station Road. We are across from the Jaipur Railway Station and the Power House. It is a very loud and active area. There is always a lot of smoke and noise from the buses. We deal in various goods and have been doing this for a long time. The shop is more of a workplace than a fancy store. We have boxes stacked high against the walls. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or moving stock around. It is not a place where you find fancy lights or decorations. We just have what is needed for the trade. I usually have tea sitting on a small wooden bench outside while waiting for the next delivery. People from all over the city pass by here. Some are coming from the station with heavy bags. We keep things moving and try to stay organized, even though it gets messy sometimes. The floor is concrete and has some cracks. My nephew helps me with the heavy lifting. We do not use computers for everything; a lot of it is still done on paper. It is a straightforward business. We open up early and close when the last train of the day seems to have gone. It is a busy life but we like the pace.
