Varddan Kr Foundation

Varddan Kr Foundation is based in Deeg, at the Bhuda Gate area. We operate out of the home of Dinesh Chand, who is the son of Nandlal. Deeg is a historical place, famous for its palaces, but for us, it is just home. Our office is a small part of the house where we keep our paperwork and meet with anyone who needs help. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy lobby. People in Deeg mostly know where to find us because word spreads fast in a town like this. We started the foundation to help with local issues, particularly things related to the families living around Bhuda Gate. It’s a very grounded way of working. We don't have a board of directors or anything like that. It’s just Dinesh and a couple of other local guys who want to see things get better in our town. We deal with everyday problems, whether it is helping someone get their documents sorted or organizing a bit of help for a family in need. The pace is slow, and we take things one day at a time. Sometimes we sit outside under the shade when it’s too hot indoors and just talk to the people who pass by. It is a very simple, local operation and we aren't trying to pretend it is anything else. We just do what we can with what we have for the community.
