We’ve got our office set up at 165, Rathore Nagar, right on Amrapali Marg in the Vaishali Nagar area of Jaipur. It’s a nice enough spot, though the traffic on Amrapali Marg has gotten much worse over the last few years. Kb Commosales is based here, and we basically handle a lot of trading and commercial sales paperwork. The office is in a residential-looking building that’s been converted for work. It’s got that homey feel, not like those glass towers in the SEZ. We spend a lot of time on our computers and the phone, talking to vendors and checking on deliveries. Jaipur gets incredibly hot in the summer, so we’re usually huddled near the coolers trying to stay productive. There’s always someone coming in with a delivery note or a sample of something we’re looking to trade. We keep things pretty informal here. If someone wants to talk business, we just pull up a chair and get to it. There’s no big corporate hierarchy or anything like that. We just want to make sure the orders are correct and the clients aren't waiting too long. Sometimes we stay late when the work piles up, but mostly we try to get home before the evening rush becomes too much of a headache. It’s just us doing our bit in the local market, keeping the wheels turning for the goods we move every single day.
