Vadira Welfare Foundation

You can find Vadira Welfare Foundation in Jaipur, specifically in Vaishali Nagar. Our office is in Tagore Nagar, at flat number 201 in the 326A 327A building. Vaishali Nagar is a pretty busy area of Jaipur, but Tagore Nagar is a bit more settled. We have been here for a while now, just working out of this flat. It’s not a corporate setup by any means. There are files on the tables and usually someone making tea in the small kitchen. We started this foundation because we wanted to do something for the people in Rajasthan, starting right here in our own city. Jaipur is growing so fast, and sometimes people get left behind in all that progress. We try to look out for those folks. We don't have a big team of experts. It’s mostly just us and a few volunteers who show up when they have free time from their regular jobs. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting people who drop by the flat. The stairs up to the second floor can be a bit much in the afternoon heat, but we stay busy. We focus on practical help, whatever is needed that day. It might be helping someone fill out a form or organizing a small gathering in the neighborhood. We don't use big words to describe what we do; we just show up and do the work that needs doing.
