Ujjawala Micro Development Federation

You can find the Ujjawala Micro Development Federation office at 6A in Friends Colony, just off Janpath here in Jaipur. It is a pretty central location, which makes it easy for our staff and the people we work with to reach us without too much trouble. The building is an older one, but it holds up well against the weather. We have a small sign outside so people do not miss the turn into the driveway. Inside, it is a bit of a maze of desks and old storage boxes. We have been here for a while and have slowly filled up the rooms with years of records and documents. We do not have a big cleaning crew, so we usually take turns tidying up the place ourselves on Saturday mornings before we head home. The light in the front room is quite good, which really helps when we are looking at small print on forms all day long. Janpath can be quite busy during the morning rush, so we usually try to get into the office early to beat the crowd. It is a friendly neighborhood, and we often see the same faces walking by the gate every day. We do not really do the whole corporate image thing with suits or fancy talk. We just wear our regular clothes and focus on getting the work done. There is always a lot of clicking from the keyboards and general office noise throughout the day.
