Calcutta Sanitary Stores

You can find Calcutta Sanitary Stores at Shop No. 40. We are right in Choti Choper in Tripolia Bazar. It’s a very old part of the city and it stays crowded from morning until the shops close. We sell things like taps and sinks and pipes. The shop is small and it’s packed with boxes from the floor to the ceiling. Sometimes it’s hard to find where we put a specific part but we usually know where it is. People come in looking for stuff for their bathrooms. It’s noisy outside with all the rickshaws and people walking by. We don’t have a lot of space for customers to sit. Usually they just stand at the counter and tell us what they need. We’ve been here for quite some time now. We know most of the other shopkeepers around Tripolia Bazar. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s just a place to buy hardware and sanitary items. We spend a lot of time unpacking crates and putting things on the shelves. Sometimes we run out of something and have to wait for the next delivery to come through the traffic. It gets very hot in the summer months because of the crowds. We just drink cold water and keep going. It’s a basic business and we like being part of the local market. There is always something happening on the street outside our door.
