You can find Sushil Iron Handicrafts over on Kedia Road in Pratap Nagar. We’re at Plot No. 21, which is pretty close to the Murlipura Police Thana. Most days you’ll hear the sound of metal clanking or the smell of welding if you’re walking nearby. It’s a workshop through and through. We don't have a big showroom with air conditioning; it’s more about the raw work being done on the floor. We make various iron items, mostly by hand, using tools that have been around for a long time. The dust and the heat are just part of the daily job here. Pratap Nagar is a good area for us because there’s always someone looking for a bit of metalwork, whether it’s a gate or something smaller for their house. We aren aren’t big on fancy titles or corporate structures. Everyone here just knows what they need to do to get the work done. Sometimes the orders pile up and we have to stay late into the night to get things finished. Other times, we’re just waiting on a shipment of iron to arrive from the supplier. We’ve been at this for a while, and we like the honest feel of working with our hands every day. Being near the police station makes the location very easy to explain to delivery drivers or new visitors. It’s a busy part of town, but inside the workshop, we just focus on the task at hand. It’s hard work, and our hands are usually dirty.
