Surendra Stone Industries (ssi)

We are based at C - Ballabh Bari, and that is where Surendra Stone Industries, or SSI as some people call us, operates from. It’s a local spot where we deal with all sorts of stone work. The yard is usually a bit of a jumble with different types of rocks and slabs scattered around. We don't have a big fancy showroom with lights and stuff. It’s more of a practical place where people come to see the actual material they are buying. I’m usually there every morning, making sure the orders are being processed. Cutting stone is a noisy and messy business, so there’s always water and dust around the machines. We are just a small group of people working here. We don't have any formal mission statements or anything like that. We just try to get the stone cut to the right size and hope the customer is happy with it. Sometimes we run behind schedule when a machine breaks down or the weather is bad, but that’s just how it goes. People in Ballabh Bari know us as just a regular local industry. We’ve been doing this for quite a while now. It’s not a complicated business, just stones and hard work. We like being in this neighborhood and just doing our thing. That’s really all there is to Surendra Stone Industries. We just keep working and looking at the rocks.
