Suluk Helping Foundation

We are over at the Jack and Zil School in Gujjaro Ka Mohalla. It’s part of Sarvodaya Basti, which is a lively part of town. Being at the school means there's always noise and kids around. We work out of Anjuman's place here. It’s a humble setup, but it works for what we do. Helping people in the Basti is what occupies most of our time. We see families who've lived here for generations. Sometimes the roads are a bit rough to get through, but everyone knows the way to the school. We don’t really have a big staff. It's just a couple of us who wanted to do something useful for the community. We don't spend money on fancy signs or marketing. People just find us by asking around the Mohalla. Every day brings something different. One day it's helping a neighbor with paperwork, another day it's something else. We just take it as it comes. It's important to us to stay right here in the heart of the Basti. We've seen how things change over the years in 334001. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just trying to be helpful to the people living on our street and the nearby blocks. It’s honest work and we like being part of the daily life here. We just want to be a steady presence for our neighbors when things get difficult for them.
