Subham Kirana Store

Subham Kirana Store is located in the Kanakpura area of Jhotwara in Jaipur. It is a busy residential neighborhood, so we see a lot of the same faces every day. The shop is filled with all sorts of household goods. We have everything from lentils and rice to soaps and cleaning supplies. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit as much as we can on the wooden shelves. Sometimes it’s hard to find things if we just got a new shipment in and haven’t put it all away yet. The floor is concrete and we have a small counter where we weigh things out. It’s not like a big supermarket where everything is pre-packaged and cold. We deal with a lot of loose items too. The traffic in Jhotwara can be pretty intense, so the sound of bikes and cars is always in the background. We have been here for a while, and the shop has become a regular stop for people coming home from work. We don't really have a website or do any fancy marketing. We just put out a board with the prices of sugar or oil sometimes. It’s just a basic store run by regular people. We try to keep enough stock so nobody has to go all the way to the main market for small things. It is just a daily routine of stocking and selling.
