Stone Line

Stone Line is located at 45, Hathroi, on Sanjay Marg. If you come by, you will probably see a few of us sitting outside on the step if it is a nice day. Our workspace is filled with heavy samples and pieces of rock that we have collected over the months. Because we work with stone, things tend to get a bit messy and there is always a layer of fine grey dust on the desks and the chairs. We don't wear suits or anything like that here. Usually, it is just jeans and shirts that we don't mind getting dirty. The phone rings a lot, and half the time we have to shout over the sound of the traffic outside to be heard. Sanjay Marg is a busy place, and there are always neighbors dropping by to chat or ask for a favor. We have a small kitchen area where we heat up our lunch, and the smell of spices usually hangs around all afternoon. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside with all the heavy slabs leaning against the walls, so you have to watch your toes. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just answer the questions people have and try to be as helpful as we can. It is hard work lifting things all day, but we are used to it by now.
