Sri Saikripa Stones

You can find us at 11-12 in Sultan Nagar, which is right by the Gurjan Ki Thadi area. It is a place where you see a lot of construction and stone work happening. At Sri Saikripa Stones, our yard is always filled with different types of slabs and tiles. It is a dusty business, there is no way around that. Every time we move a stone or cut a piece, a cloud of white dust goes up. We wear old clothes to work because everything gets covered in it by the end of the day. The sun beats down on the yard, so we try to do the heaviest lifting in the early morning or late afternoon. We don't have a fancy showroom. Customers just walk into the yard and look at the actual pieces of stone we have in stock. We talk to them about what they need for their floors or counters. It is a very direct way of working. We don't use any slick sales talk; we just show them what is available and tell them the price. Most of the people who work here have been doing this for years, so we know how to handle the heavy slabs without breaking anything. At the end of the day, we wash down the yard and lock up the gate. It is hard, physical work, but it feels good to see the stones going out.
