Sicklecell Sakshamrajasthan Foundation

Our foundation is set up at Kamal Kishor’s place in Madakola Makan. It’s in the Anandpuri area of Banswara. We are specifically looking at sickle cell issues here in Rajasthan. It’s something that affects a lot of people in our region, so we decided to start this foundation to help out. We are tucked away in a small village area, Mogji, near the post office. It’s not a fancy medical center or a big city office. We work right from the community level. Most of our day is spent talking to families and helping them understand what they are dealing with. We travel around Banswara quite a bit to reach people who might not have easy access to information. It’s hard work because the roads aren't always great and it gets very hot, but it’s worth it when we see someone getting the help they need. We don't have a big marketing budget or any glossy brochures. It’s mostly just us talking to people face-to-face. We rely a lot on local connections and word of mouth. Kamal Kishor’s house serves as our main hub where we keep our records and plan our trips. It’s a very personal project for us, and we just try to do our best for the people in our corner of Banswara.
