Shyam Stones

So we are located over at 105, Virat-12, in the Bal Vihar area on Kalwar Road. If you know Jhotwara, you know it gets busy around here. We’ve got a lot of stone sitting out in the lot. It’s not a fancy place by any means. Mostly we spend our days unloading trucks and making sure the pieces don't crack. It’s heavy stuff to move. We see a lot of people from the neighborhood stopping by. Usually, they are working on a kitchen or a bathroom and need something that looks decent. We don’t do a lot of talking, we just show them what we have in the back. Sometimes the sun beats down on the yard and the stone gets too hot to touch, so we have to wait for it to cool off. We’ve been at this address for a bit now. My brother and I usually handle the orders. It’s dusty work, and the machines make a lot of noise when they’re running. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just rely on people seeing the sign on Kalwar Road. We keep the inventory stacked up high. If you need something specific, you might have to wait a day while we dig it out from the bottom of the pile. It’s just a regular local business. We keep things simple. We don't have uniforms or anything, just work clothes that get ruined pretty fast by the stone.
