Shri Sanskar T T College

Bassi is a quiet enough place until you get near the railway station. That’s where Shri Sanskar T T College is located, right in Laxmi Nagar. You can actually hear the train whistles from the classrooms sometimes, which the students have just gotten used to over the years. We’re in Pream Sadan, and it’s a sturdy building that’s seen a lot of people come and go. Being so close to the station makes it easy for those traveling from further out in Jaipur or the nearby villages. The walk from the platform doesn't take long at all. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place tidy and making sure there’s enough drinking water in the big coolers. The hallways are usually filled with students talking about their exams or practicing for their teaching sessions. It’s not a shiny new skyscraper, just a regular college building with some plants out front that we try to keep alive despite the Rajasthan heat. The office is always a bit cluttered with files and registers, but we know where everything is. People come here because it’s convenient and it’s been a part of the neighborhood for a long time. There’s a tea stall just down the road where everyone goes during the breaks. It feels like a small community here, where everyone knows everyone else’s name and we just get on with the day’s work without any fuss.
