Anand International College

Anand International College is out near Kanota on the Agra Road. It’s a bit of a drive from the main Jaipur city center, but that means we have a bit more space out here. The road is always busy with trucks and buses heading towards Agra. You can hear the traffic from the front of the college, but it gets quieter once you go inside towards the back rooms. Jaipur can be a very bright and dusty place, especially on this side of town near the highway. We’ve got a plain building that serves its purpose for the students who travel here every morning. Some come by bus and others use their own bikes. The area around Kanota is developing fast, but it still feels a bit open compared to the old city. Inside the college, things are pretty standard. We have the usual labs and classrooms. We don't spend much on decorations or fancy furniture. It’s mostly about having enough chairs and keeping the lights working. Running a college out here means we have to deal with the local weather and the highway noise daily. It’s a practical place for people who live on this side of Jaipur or in the nearby villages. We just open the gates early and stay until the last bus leaves in the evening. It is a long day for everyone, but it’s just how things work here when you are located right off a major road.
