Shri Ram Kirana & General Store

We are located in Yadav Bhawan, which is right on Kalwar Road in the Jhotwara area. It’s a busy part of Jaipur, and being near Gupta Clinic means there are always people walking past our door. We’ve set up the shop so that most of the daily essentials are easy to reach. You’ll see the big sacks of grains and flour on the floor and the smaller items like spices and tea leaves on the wooden shelves behind the counter. It isn't a huge place, so we have to be careful about how we stack things so nothing falls over. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when the morning milk delivery arrives at the same time as the bread van. Jhotwara has grown so much lately, and we see new faces every week, though the old regulars still come by every morning for their basic needs. The shop stays open quite late because people often realize they forgot something for dinner at the last minute. I usually keep a notebook to jot down what we are running low on so I can order more for the next day. It’s a simple setup without any modern bells and whistles. We just focus on having the basic kitchen supplies ready. The heat in Jaipur can be tough, but the thick walls of Yadav Bhawan keep the shop reasonably cool during the peak afternoon hours.
