Shri Govind Provision Store

Shri Govind Provision Store is our little business on Pratap Nagar Main Road, at 134-135. We handle all the basic grocery needs for the people living around here. It’s a typical neighborhood store where we sell things like flour, rice, pulses, and spices. We also keep some snacks, cold drinks, and dairy products. Every morning starts with the milk delivery around 6 am. That is usually our busiest hour because everyone wants their milk and bread for breakfast before work. The rest of the day is spent weighing out items and packing them into bags. We know most of our customers by name since they live just a few streets away. Sometimes they just come in to say hello and buy a small packet of biscuits or some candy for their kids. We try to keep our stock fresh and rotate things on the shelves regularly. The shop has two units, 134 and 135, so we have a bit more space than some other small stores, which helps with storage in the back. It can get a bit chaotic when three or four people are asking for different things at once. We don't use any fancy billing systems, just a simple way of keeping track of things in a register. Pratap Nagar Main Road is always moving, and we are right there in the thick of it. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but it feels good.
