Shreedhara Rural Foundation

Shreedhara Rural Foundation is located at Unit No. 202 on the first floor, P. N. 10-11, K.N 52-53 in Jaipur. Even though we are technically in the city, our hearts and our work are mostly focused on the rural areas. It’s a bit of a hike to get up to our unit, but we’ve got a decent view of the street from there. We aren’t some big corporate entity with polished floors. It’s just a workspace with some old computers and a lot of paper. We spend a lot of time out in the fields and then come back here to write things down. It’s a busy life. Jaipur is always moving, but inside our office, we try to keep things focused on the villages. We don’t have a marketing team telling us what to say. We just say what’s happening. Some weeks we are barely in the office because we’re out traveling. When we are here, there’s usually a lot of tea and loud talking about how to solve problems. We’re just a group of people from Rajasthan who care about the countryside. It’s practical, sometimes tiring work. We don't always have the answers right away, but we keep trying anyway. If you come by, don’t expect a lot of fanfare. We’re just regular people trying to do something decent for those who live outside the main city limits.
