Shree Salasar General Store

If you are looking for us, Shree Salasar General Store is over at Plot Number 126 in Vaidvatika Colony. We are right off New Sanganer Road in the Sodala area of Jaipur. Our shop is a pretty standard general store where we sell all the usual things like spices, pulses, and household supplies. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we have a lot of stock squeezed into a small area. We have bags of rice and flour sitting on the floor and rows of jars on the wooden shelves. I have been running this place with my nephew for a few years now. We have a lot of people who come in every day on their way home from work to pick up the things they forgot. The street can be quite noisy with all the traffic from New Sanganer Road, but we are used to the sound by now. During the monsoon, the floor gets a bit muddy from all the people coming in, so we are always keeping a mop handy. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that hum all day long. We keep our accounts in a simple ledger book and use a small plastic calculator for the totals. It is an honest living and we like being part of this Jaipur neighborhood. Most people know they can find the basics here without any fuss or waiting in long lines.
