Shree Rana Stone

You can find Shree Rana Stone over at the Bypass Crossing in Adarsh Nagar. We’re right in the Baldev Colony area, not far from the Government Hospital. It’s a very busy intersection, so there’s always the sound of horns and engines. We have our stone yard set up right there where everyone can see it. It’s not a very fancy place, just a lot of heavy rock and a small room where we keep our papers. We spend the day moving slabs from one pile to another. It’s a lot of physical labor and the sun can be quite brutal in the afternoon. Being near the hospital means there are always people around, but most of them are just passing through. We don’t do any big advertising or try to sound like a big company. We are just a local stone yard. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink chai while watching the bypass traffic. Other days, we can’t even find a minute to sit down because of the deliveries. We’ve got a lot of different stones, mostly just what’s popular and useful for local building. The yard gets messy with all the stone chips and dust, but we try to keep the main paths clear. It’s just us here, doing the work day after day. If you’re at the crossing, you can’t really miss all the granite stacked up.
