Shree Nath Marbles

We are over at Plot Number 1 in Vishv Vidyalya Nagar, right on Mahal Road. It is a good spot and easy enough to find if you know where the main road is. We have been working from this plot for a long time. There isn't much to the place, just a big area where we keep the marble and a small cabin for the paperwork. We spend most of our time out in the yard. It can get very hot on Mahal Road during the summer months, so we usually start early in the morning to get the heavy work done before the heat becomes too much. We don't use any fancy computers to keep track of things, just a simple notebook where we write everything down. Most of our customers are locals who are building their own houses. They come in with their families and spend a lot of time looking at the different slabs. We just let them take their time. There is no need to rush anyone. We have seen a lot of changes in Vishv Vidyalya Nagar over the years, with more buildings going up all the time. It used to be much more open than it is now. We just keep doing our thing, moving the stone and talking to whoever comes through the gate. It's not a complicated business, just a lot of hard work and daily routine. We’ve known the people on this road for a very long time.
