About Shekhawat Building Material – Building & Construction Material in Jaipur
If you head down Sirsi Road towards Meenawala, you will find our yard right across from the New India Public School. It is a dusty place, which is expected when you deal with sand and cement all day long. At Shekhawat Building Material, we mostly just move things from one place to another. We have stacks of bricks and bags of material piled up. The trucks come in early and leave loaded down. It is hard work, especially when the weather is bad or the sun is beating down on the open yard. We have been in this part of town for a while now and we know most of the local contractors who stop by. We don't have a fancy office or a big sign, just the stuff people need to build houses and walls. Sometimes the yard gets a bit disorganized when a big shipment arrives, but we manage to sort it out. My family has been doing this kind of thing for years, so it feels normal to be surrounded by stones and dust. We stay open late sometimes if a customer needs something for a job starting the next morning. It’s not a glamorous life, but seeing a house go up using our materials is a decent feeling. We just try to keep enough stock on hand so nobody has to wait too long. We have a small desk for paperwork, but mostly we are outside near the trucks.
