Sharmila Handicraft & Exports

Our place is at No. 1276 on Vinay Path, just off Kissan Marg near Tonk Road. It's a busy part of the city, and we've been operating out of this building for quite some time. We deal with all kinds of handicrafts, which means the place is always full of different textures and smells. There are boxes stacked up in the corners waiting to be sent out, and we spend a lot of our time packing things carefully. Exporting stuff involves a lot of details, and we’re usually hunched over a table checking everything twice. It’s not a glamorous job, especially when it’s hot outside and we’re moving crates around. We aren’t some big corporation with a polished lobby. When you come to see us, you’re basically walking into our workspace. There’s usually some scrap material on the floor and the sound of tape dispensers going off. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just work with our hands and try to get the orders out on time. The neighborhood around Tonk Road is always moving fast, but inside here, things take as long as they take to get done right. We have a few people who help us out, and we’ve become like a small family over the years. It’s just us, some crafts, and a lot of shipping labels. We like the work, even if it gets a bit chaotic during the peak seasons.
