Our shop is on Main Kalwar Road in Govindpura, right near Manglam City. Sharma Marble House And Granites has been a part of this area for quite some time. It is a straight-forward kind of place. We have our marble and granite slabs lined up out front and in the back. The road is always busy with people heading toward the new developments. We get a lot of folks stopping by because they are building houses nearby. We aren’t much for sitting in an office; we are usually out on the floor or near the trucks. The air is always a bit thick with the smell of cut stone. It’s a regular local business where we know many of the workers and contractors by name. We don’t bother with complicated displays. We just keep the stone where people can see the patterns and the edges. Some days we are just cutting pieces to size, and other days we are waiting on a fresh load of granite to arrive. It is a lot of waiting and then a lot of rushing. We just try to keep enough variety so people have choices. Living and working around Govindpura means we see the town changing every day. We just keep doing what we do, which is handling stone and talking to neighbors who need help with their homes. We don't use any scripts or corporate talk, just simple conversations about what fits the job.
