Sharanam Marbles

Sharanam Marbles is located inside Ganpati Plaza on M.I. Road. We are in unit 203. Being on M.I. Road means there is always something going on outside. It is a central part of the city. We have different kinds of marble slabs displayed. It is a bit different being in a plaza compared to a big open yard, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time talking to people who are renovating their homes. They come in with measurements and we show them what we have in stock. The lighting in the shop helps people see the patterns in the stone better. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We just sell marble. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea, and other days it’s a rush of people. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the years. Ganpati Plaza is a well-known landmark, so that helps people find us easily. We keep the samples ready. The marble business is all about the look of the stone, so we try to keep the pieces clean so people can see the natural colors. Dealing with heavy slabs in a commercial building has its challenges, but we have our system down. We are here from morning until the evening, just like every other shop on the street.
