Sgc Education Centre

If you walk along Mall Road in Sector-1 of Vidhyadhar Nagar, you’ll find us at A-11 on the first floor. It’s a good enough spot in Jaipur, though parking can be a bit of a headache if you come at the wrong time. Sgc Education Centre is a straightforward place. We have a couple of rooms for teaching and a small area where people can wait. The furniture is mostly wooden benches and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. We didn’t spend much on making it look like a corporate office because that’s not what we are. We are just here to teach. You can hear the sounds from the street below, but we try to keep the students focused on their books. There is a small pantry where we make tea, and that’s where most of the staff hangs out between the batches. We have some whiteboards that are stained from all the markers we use every day. The light in the afternoons is quite bright, so we usually keep the curtains drawn. It’s a simple life here, just going from one lesson to the next. We see a lot of kids from the nearby schools who come in after their classes. It’s a bit of a community feeling since we’ve been in this building for so long. We usually lock up around eight and head home to do it all again tomorrow.
