Searoc Cancer Centre

You can find the Searoc Cancer Centre down in the basement of the S K Soni Hospital. We are located in Vidhyadhar Nagar, right off Sikar Road in Jaipur. It’s a bit of a walk to get down to us, but there are signs. Being in a basement means we don’t have many windows, so we rely on the overhead lights to keep the place bright. It’s a serious place, as you can imagine given what we handle. There are machines that hum in the background and hallways that feel quite long when you are walking them every day. The staff here mostly stays focused on their tasks, whether it’s checking a chart or helping someone get settled in a chair. We have a waiting area that gets used quite a bit. It’s not fancy, just some rows of seating and maybe a few old magazines on a table. Jaipur can get very hot, so having the centre in the basement actually helps keep it a bit cooler for everyone. We don’t do a lot of talking unless it’s about the treatment or how someone is feeling that morning. It’s a busy spot on Sikar Road, and we just try to keep things running smoothly for the patients who come through. There is no corporate polish here, just a group of people working in a hospital basement in Jaipur, trying to stay organized and do their jobs correctly so the day goes as well as it can.
